DTM冠軍在澳門|Shell Helix Ultra Racing特約:訪問 Sheldon van der Linde

2022年DTM總冠軍、來自南非的 BMW 廠隊 GT3好手 Sheldon van der Linde 將於周日正式出戰澳門 World GT CUP賽事。承蒙 PRP 長期支持合作夥伴 Shell Helix Ultra Racing 安排下,戰地記者 Daniel Lo 有幸與 Sheldon 在晚宴現場、前文華東方(現雅辰酒店)促膝長談。



你好Sheldon,歡迎來到澳門,你會用哪三個形容詞來描述在這裡賽車的感覺?


我會說這是一種特權,第二個我會說是激烈,第三個我會說是極硬朗的,雖然這是兩個詞,但你可以把它們結合成一個。


在東望洋賽道上,你最喜歡哪一個轉彎處,為什麼?


我會說第五個彎是我最喜歡的,也就是在加思欄上坡後的微右彎,那裡非常刺激!因為牆壁離你非常近,速度更會達到170 km/h。



有趣的回答,我原本以為你可能最喜歡的會是東方彎。


東方彎其實不是我最喜歡的彎道,因為我對它有些恐懼,哈哈。我更喜歡開始時速度較慢一些的地方,所以我不太喜歡東方彎。





我們是一個來自香港的專業使用Shell Helix Ultra機油的漂移和賽車隊。我們使用的高性能路車油和M4使用的賽車機油有什麼區別?


其實並沒有太大的區別,我相信你可以在你的路車上使用賽車油,M3和M4使用的是相同的機油,這是一種非常好的機油,基本上我們在賽車場上測試這種油以確保它非常可靠幫助我們完成比賽,我們從不在賽道上因為機油問題而未能完成比賽。顯然,如果賽車能的話,路車也能做到。簡而言之,這種油是在賽道上開發的,然後用在路車上。



Shell Helix Ultra機油如何幫助提升M4 GT3賽車的性能?


它非常可靠,對於我們在北環賽道上進行的24小時比賽來說非常重要,它也很快,因為它調控著引擎的運作方式,如果機油的品質好,你就可以獲得更多的引擎動力,我會說引擎馬力和可靠性是你在使用像Shell Helix Ultra這樣的好機油時可以獲得的兩個主要優點,這就是為什麼我們總是能完成比賽,我們車也擁有最快的直線速度。


在東望洋賽道上,BMW M4 GT3的優勢是什麼?


我認為在從起點到第三個彎道(也就是葡京彎),我們的速度非常快。我們在山下和高速度的東方彎通常都表現得非常好,因為我們的車有長軸距的優勢,在高速下比較穩定,對於駕駛員來說更容易發揮極限。我認為對我們來說,中段轉彎的部分可能不太利於我們,因為那裡需要一輛較小且輪距較短的車,但通常來說,所有的高速段落對我們來說都是非常有利的。

D: Hello Sheldon, welcome to Macau! Which 3 adjectives will you use to describe how it feels to race here? 

S: I would say it is a privilege, second one I will say is intense, third one I will say is hardcore, even though it is two words but you can join it into one.


D: Which one is your favourite corner of the Guia Circuit and why?

S: I would say turn five is my favourite corner so after san francisco up the hill on the right, it’s like a very big thrill cause you are going through there like 170 and the wall is like super close to you.

D: Interesting answer, I was expecting may be mandarin corner will be your favourite

S: Yeah mandarin it’s actually not my favourite corner, cause I am scared of it haha, I prefer starting a bit more chill with less speed where, mandarin is a scary corner that’s why it’s not my favourite corner.


D: We are a drift and race team from Hong Kong who exclusively uses Shell Helix Ultra engine oil. What's the difference between the high performance road oil that we use and the racing oil the M4 uses?

S: Actually not much at all, I believe you can use the race car oil for your road car so the M3 and M4 uses the same engine oil it’s a very good oil, basically we test the oil on track to make sure it is very reliable we finish races we never dnf with the oil on track, then we take it to the road, obviously if the race car can do it the road car can do it as well. In short the oil is developed on track and use on the road car.


D: How does the Shell Helix Ultra oil helps to extract the performance from the M4 GT3 car?

S: It is reliable which is important for 24 hours races like we do on the Nordschleife and it’s also fast, because it regulates the way it works in the engine if the engine is good quality you can get more engine power as well, I would say engine power and reliability are the two main factors that you benefit from when you have a good engine oil like Shell Helix Ultra, that's why we always finish races and we have the fastest car in the straight line as well.


D: What are the strengths of the BMW M4 GT3 at the Guia Circuit?

S: Think definitely up to turn 3 sp at lisboa. We are very quick downhill, mandarin high speed is normally very good in this car, cause we have such a long car its stable to drive so it’s easier for the driver to extract the lap time. I think the middle sector is less favourable for us where you want a smaller car with a shorter wheelbase car, but generally all the high speed stuff is normally very good for us.
